On November 3, 2011, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Gallipoli Rise" was held at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. Russian and foreign researchers, representatives of public organizations, whose sphere of scientific interests are connected with understanding the fate of Russian emigration, presented their reports on this tragic and poorly studied page of history. The conference heard reports on the cultural heritage of Russian emigrants, about Russian church communities in Gallipoli and other parts of Turkey in the 1918s and 1920s, about the restoration of memorials on the sites of the White Army, rare archive photographs and a documentary about Gallipoli. The conference ended with a concert of the Military Orchestra of the ZVO Staff and the Consolidated Choir of the Herzen State Pedagogical University with the program of Russian music and military songs of the White Guard.
