The postcard depicts the building of the Iskra cinema located on the Centennial Avenue in Vladivostok. In 1960, to the 100th anniversary of the city, a cinema was built, originally called "Ocean", but three years later a beautiful name was given to another cinema built in the historic center of the city, on the embankment, overlooking the ocean. And the cinema on the prospectus of the Century was named "Iskra". The cinema has been functioning for almost 50 years. In the early 2000's. the cinema "Iskra" ceased to exist and in 2009 was rebuilt into a shopping center "Sotka" .
