May 25, 2011 in the Presidential Library. Boris N. Yeltsin was executed by "Requiem" Giuseppe Verdi. This event opened the XIX International Music Festival "Palaces of St. Petersburg", which in 2011 is dedicated to the Year of Italy in Russia. The concert was attended by Italian and Russian singers: soprano Maria Letizia Grosselli, mezzo soprano Christina Melis, tenor Khachatur Badalyan, bass Alexander Morozov, choirs of the Smolny Cathedral and Mikhailovsky Theater. The Constantinovsky orchestra was conducted by the Italian maestro Giacomo Sagripanti. |
