Monument to the hero of the Patriotic War 1812, General Karl Ivanovich Bistrom was installed in 1841 at the burial site of the general, on the territory of his estate Romanovka in the city of Kingisepp. The monument is made in classical traditions. A bronze lion is mounted on a rectangular granite pedestal, which puts a paw on the ball - a power, a symbol of statehood. On the granite pedestal the following words are inscribed: "General-Adjutant to KI Bistromu Guards Corps as a token of gratitude", Borodino, Varna, Ostrolenka. Between the inscription lines in the circular depression of the pedestal is placed the bronze bronze portrait of KI Bistrom. The monument was erected at the suggestion of the Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich. The construction was conducted on the donations of officers and soldiers of the Independent Guards Corps.
