The exhibition “Moscow meets the first!” prepared by the Museum of Cosmonautics in partnership with the Russian Information Agency TASS has been opened on Tverskoy Boulevard in Moscow. It shows photographs of jubilant Moscow on the day of Yuri Gagarin's meeting in the capital - April 14, 1961. The exhibition is supplemented by the memories of the first cosmonaut of the Earth of cosmonauts, engineers and employees of space enterprises, which can be viewed by scanning QR codes with a VKontakte...

The third round of the educational project of the Presidential Library “Russia in the Electronic World” was held. This year, 15 venues were used in Tyumen Region for the full-time round of the Olympiad: participants were met in Abatsky, Aromashevsky, Berdyuzhsky, Sorokinsky, Sladkovsky, Kazansky, Ishimsky, Uporovsky municipal districts, Zavodoukovsky and Golyshmanovsky urban districts, as well as in Tyumen and Yalutorovsk.

The State Archive of the Russian Federation is home to various interesting rarities, which describe the way the Tsar’s family celebrated New Year and Christmas at the turn of the 20th century.

Russia celebrates the Spring and Labor Day on May 1. The tradition of celebrating this holiday has been going on for many years. The Presidential Library’s collection contains dozens of postcards with photographs spotlighting the political coloring of events from the pre-revolutionary period to the present day. Among them there are unique ones, such as the work of Alexander and Viktor Bulla Working Deputation on Palace Square on May 1 of 1917.

The Russian Ethnographic Museum opened the exhibition "Art of Bone Carving of Chukchi Craftsmen in the 1930s - 1950s", which will run until January 31, 2021. It is the first event in a series of small exhibitions devoted to arts and crafts of the Siberian Arctic peoples. The exposition "Arctic - an Inhabited Land" presents rarely exhibited items. They introduce to the world of Arctic hunters and reindeer breeders of Chukotka- the first Russian region which meets the sunrise.

On August 1 (July 19, according to the old style), the Orthodox celebrate the uncovering of the relics of St. Seraphim, the Wonderworker of Sarov. “My joy, hello, Christ is risen!” - this is how the elder met everyone who came to him, for everyone he found guidance, wise advice, and he himself performed spiritual feats unthinkable for the laity, was constantly in prayer. He became a saint for Orthodox Christians long before his official canonization in 1903.
