On May 23, 2022 the Presidential Library hosted a video lecture “Russian comics and lubok” as part of the cultural and educational project Knowledge of Russia. The event, organized by the Presidential Library and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Belgrade, launched a cycle of three lectures "Russian comics".

IT and Society: Augmented reality tour tested on Nikolskaya Street in Moscow

The augmented reality (AR) tour has been launched in a test format on Nikolskaya Street, one of the oldest in Moscow. The specifics of the pilot project are in the technology of creating virtual scenes. Through the smartphone camera, users have an opportunity to interact with a 3D character serving as a virtual guide, and follow him along the route. The idea was developed by a domestic company.

The new exhibition #Podklet – You have unread messages… has opened in the white-stone basement (podklet) of the Old English Court in Moscow. The exposition, dedicated to the Novgorod birch bark manuscripts, features 11 exhibits from the collection of the Novgorod State United Museum-Reserve. The manuscripts dated from the XI-XV centuries were written by various people and for various reasons. Each one has its own story.

The large-scale exhibition project Nicholas Roerich has opened in the Kovalenko Krasnodar Art Museum. The exposition features over 40 works from the collections of the Russian Museum: those are the paintings from the pre-revolutionary “Russian period” of Roerich’s works, as well as the easel canvases and nature sketches of the “Indian period” of master’s life of 1930-1940s, when he was abroad.

The Russian House in Ulaanbaatar and Arkhangai aimag agreed to open a Russian language center and a library of Russian literature based on secondary school № 3 in the city of Tsetserleg. On June 16, 2022 within the anniversary XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that takes place in St. Petersburg from June 15-18, the Presidential Library signed a cooperation agreement with the National Research Institute of Project Development in International, Interdenominational, Interethnic, Intercultural and Intercountry Communications. The Presidential Library's portal presents an electronic photo exhibition "City that does not exist?...". Its author is Vladimir Dedov, a resident of Severodonetsk, an active participant of the Russian Spring in Donbass in 2014. The exhibition is part of a travelling project created with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The exhibition tells about the city of Severodonetsk, its enterprises and residents.
