National Research Institute of Communication Development — a new partner of the Presidential Library

On June 16, 2022 within the anniversary XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that takes place in St. Petersburg from June 15-18, the Presidential Library signed a cooperation agreement with the National Research Institute of Project Development in International, Interdenominational, Interethnic, Intercultural and Intercountry Communications. The document was signed by Acting Director General of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov and Director of the Institute Vladislav Gasumyanov.

The subject of the agreement is the long-term cooperation between the institutions aimed at the creation of common information space in the spheres of national and world culture, science and education, preservation and promotion of the historic, cultural and scientific legacy of Russia. 

The directions of the agreement were determined as follows: the mutual use of the institutions’ collections, which include converting documents to digital form, creating digital documents, and audio and visual products, preparing digital collections. The agreement also implies the organization and hosting of joint scientific and practical conferences, lectures, contests of scientific works, exhibition projects and other events, release of printed, polygraphic, audio and visual, multimedia products.

The opening of a new center of remote access to the electronic collections of the Presidential Library, that contain over one million depository items, will take place under the administration of the National Research Institute of Communication Development.

The National Research Institute of Communication Development is a centre for the development of analysis methodology and the prediction of international and intercultural communications. It conducts scientific, information, publishing, project work for the development of friendly and neighbourly relations, scientific diplomacy, steady development of countries and regions, and prepares drafts of documents, recommendations for authorities in the field of relations development between Russia and foreign countries. The goal of the National Research Institute of Communication Development is the creation of an international communication platform, a dialogue platform for scientists and experts interested in establishing shared values and positions of cooperation.
