The Presidential Library and St. Petersburg State Economic University continue their joint educational project. As part of this project, on April 3, the Presidential Library hosted a multimedia lesson entitled “Kotlin Island: from the glacial moraine to new heights of hospitality in St. Petersburg” which continued the series “The Origins of St. Petersburg Hospitality: Events, People, Places”. It involved senior pupils from St. Petersburg schools.

"…In the course of 18th - 19th cc. the key objective of the Hydrographic Service was the creation of detailed and accurate maps and sailing directions for the seas, washing the shores of Russia, large rivers and lakes, to ensure the safety of ships and vessels... " - reads the 4-volume book “The History of the Hydrographic Service of the Russian Navy” (1997), which has recently become available on the portal of the Presidential Library.

November 28, 2019 marks the 139th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Blok (1880 - 1921) - the greatest poet, classic of Russian literature of the XIX - XX centuries, the largest representative of Russian symbolism, playwright, translator, and literary critic. The Presidential Library’s collections contain electronic copies of the writer's rare lifetime editions, contemporaries' memoirs, scientific works devoted to his work as well as a video lecture.
