The Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, has summarized the results of the online quiz Chekhov: Prose Poet, which anyone could participate in. The quiz was organized in honor of the 165th anniversary of Anton Chekhov, a Russian author and one of the most significant playwrights in world theater history.

The Presidential Library invites viewers to the cinema club meeting, where the IV International St. Petersburg Biennale of Children's Creativity “Letter. Word. Book - 2019” dedicated to the Year of the Theater in Russia will be held on October 16, 2019 at 4 p.m. The event will be open with a slide show about the winners of the multimedia nomination of the previous years’ contest, and then the films of this year will be watched and the children will be awarded.

The State Tretyakov Gallery presents the exhibition Conqueror of Lightning and Waves in the Kaliningrad History and Art Museum, marking the 350th anniversary since the birth of Peter I (1672–1725). The exhibition is based on thirty eight paintings, graphics and sculptures from the collections of the gallery that tell about the famous deeds of the first Russian emperor: gaining access to the Baltic Sea, establishment of the Russian fleet, as well as the history of sea and land battles.
