On March 4 2011 the Russian Museum of Ethnography (St. Petersburg) is mounting an exhibition “Weapons of the Caucasus in private collections of the past and present”. The pearl of the exhibition is a show of the “Tiflis sword”. There are only four of them known all over the world.

A travelling exhibition entitled “Public libraries of Moscow: from past to present” will kick off on June 9 at the Moscow City Duma building. The exhibition, organized by the I. S. Turgenev Library with a support of the Central Administrative District prefecture, is marking the 125th foundation anniversary of public libraries’ network in Moscow.

A collection of book series “Marshals of Victory. Through the Pages of a Family Album" was donated to the Presidential Library. Each of the books presents unique archival materials about the heroes of the battles of past years - documents and photographs, almost all of them are published for the first time. The publication of the book series is a joint project of the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology and the Union of Russian Collectors All-Russian public organization.

Schoolchildren’s meeting with true writer and writing poems in the Presidential Library

On the eve of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, the Presidential Library hosted a creative lesson with the writer Marina Lykova “Journey to the world of children's book”. The library systematically implements educational programs designed for primary school age: these are multimedia lessons and support for beginning cinematographers from urban studios, and constant attention to “special” children from specialized educational institutions.

The Presidential Library illustrates letter to the siege of the past

A large-scale campaign to collect materials about the siege of Leningrad, announced by the Presidential Library in the autumn of 2018, found a wide response in the hearts of many people. About 200 people responded to the call to share testimonies about that time, they transferred about 2000 documents for digitization to the Presidential Library’s electronic collection.
