Exhibition "Faster! Higher! Stronger!" was opened in the Samara Regional Art Museum. The exhibition of graphics from the museum's funds is dedicated to the theme of sports, which was massively developed during the Soviet era. The canons of the image were defined back in the 1920s, when the concept of ideological and patriotic education became firmly associated with the ideal of a harmonious man.

April 14, 1745 Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin, the future classic of Russian literature of the XVIII century and the creator of the genre of Russian household comedy was born in Moscow. The Presidential Library e-collections present both the “Complete Collection of Original Works” by a satirist, published in 1902 and studies on his life and career.

11 (21) November 1699 in the village of Preobrazhenskoye near Moscow the Russian tsar Peter I and the Saxon Prince Elector and King of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth Augustus II the Strong concluded a treaty of alliance, which was called Preobrazhenskoye. The Treaty marked the beginning of formation of the Northern military alliance against Sweden.
