The novel “Childhood” became the starting point of Leo Tolstoy’s career, when it was published in The Contemporary journal 170 years ago. The novel has come out under the title “The History of My Chidlhood” which was disliked by the author: the title didn’t match his ideas.

The Novouralsky District Public Library in Sverlovsk Region has held an exhibition «My anthem, my flag, my Russia» marking the Day of Russia. The exhibition featured books and magazine articles from the Public Library’s holdings, unique materials and the trilogy film «State symbols of Russia. Anthem. Flag. Emblem» from the holdings of the Presidential Library were displayed on monitor screens and on a large screen.
