The exhibition “For the First Time Parland” devoted to architect Alfred Parland is opening on April 25, 2019 in the Russian Academy of Arts Research Museum (St. Petersburg). On display are personal items and drawings of the architect of the unique church – the Church of the Savior on Blood in St. Petersburg. Architecture was Alfred Parland’s life work. Dozens of buildings across the Russian Empire were built to his design. The exhibition is organized by the St. Isaac’s Cathedral State Museum.

An exhibition under the title “Repin as a Creator of a Myth about Tolstoy” will be open at the Rainbow Cultural and Exhibition Center in Cheboksary until December 29, 2019. The exhibition features 136 works from the collections of the Leo Tolstoy State Museum (Moscow) and is dedicated to artist Ilya Repin and writer Leo Tolstoy.

The Presidential Library portal has formed a large-scale electronic collection "The House of Romanov. Zemsky Sobor 1613", one section of which is dedicated to the converter of Russia and the founder of St. Petersburg. The collection includes historical documents, business and personal correspondence of the monarch, research devoted to him, a bibliography and many other materials.

Ivan Nikolaevich Yushkov was born on August 30 (September 11), 1833 in Tobolsk in the family of the priest of the Tobolsk St. Sophia Cathedral, Nikolai Andreevich Yushkov. After graduating from the Tobolsk Theological Seminary in 1852, he was appointed teacher of the parish school in his hometown. In 1853 he was appointed assistant inspector, and then acting inspector. For his diligent service he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislaus, III degree, and St. Anne, III degree.
