An interaction of the Presidential Library with Central Naval Museum is in progress

Within the framework of developing cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Library implements new plans with Central Naval Museum. Specific agreements on projects were reached during the working meeting of General Director of the Presidential Library Alexander Vershinin with the director of Central Naval Museum Ruslan Nekhay.

In addition, it spotlights Russia’s cooperation with African countries.

The Presidential Library, subordinate to the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, signed an open-ended cooperation agreement with the Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve, subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Crimea. The Museum-Reserve includes the Vorontsov Palace-Museum, the Alupka Park-Monument of Landscape Art and the Massandra Palace-Museum of Alexander III.

December 19, 2018 Altai Territory hosted the grand opening of a remote electronic reading room with access to information resources of the Presidential Library based on the I. L. Shumilov Pavlovsk Intersettlement Model Library. The remote electronic reading room has been opened in the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, which was concluded between the Presidential Library and the Library and Museum Center of the Pavlovsk District of Altai Territory in October 2018.

The Presidential Library to digitize 3.6 million scans of documents from RGIA

The Presidential Library and the Russian State Historical Archive go on active and fruitful cooperation. The plans for 2019 are to digitize the historical materials of RGIA with their subsequent placement in the Presidential Library’s electronic collections of 3,600,000 scanned pages. Of these, 3 million 490 thousand scans belong to especially valuable archival documents, 100 thousand to personal funds and 10 thousand to other rare papers.

The Presidential Library has digitized 150 negatives on glass and film depicting Maximilian Voloshin and guests of his House of the Poet - writers, philosophers, artists, relatives and friends. These priceless exhibits of the first third of the twentieth century were provided to the library by the Historical and Cultural Memorial Museum-Reserve "Cimmeria by Maximilian Voloshin" in the framework of the agreement signed in November 2019 on cooperation with the Presidential Library.
