From April 2 to April 4, 2021, VDNKh hosts events of the International Children's Book Day. It is an annual festival, celebrated on April 2, on the birthday of Hans Christian Andersen. The program features meetings with children's writers, public literary readings, workshops, a literary quest, an exhibition of illustrations, excursions and performances. There are also exhibition pavilions for children, where they may read books of different genres for free.

The Presidential Library illustrates rare documents about the Great Patriotic War, received to the institution’s digital collections. They include a unique album of children's drawings to poems of the Soviet and Israeli poetess Alla Naumovna Aizensharf (1936–2018), as well as its animated version. In full accordance with the spelling of the poems written by little Alla, the album is called “The Germans and the dogs are looking for us”.
