On October 20, 2023 at 10:00 the Presidential Library will host the opening of the All-Russian Scientific Conference “1943 – the year of a decisive turning point in the history of the Great Patriotic War. Marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of Soviet troops in the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk and the breaking of the siege of Leningrad”. The co-organizer of the event is the Russian Military Historical Society.

May 24, 2020 marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov (1905–1984), the only Soviet writer whose Nobel Prize was awarded by the USSR leadership. The writer received it in 1965 "for the artistic power and integrity of the epic about the Don Cossacks at a crucial time for Russia".
