Young talents represent Russia at festival in Dushanbe

The Children and Youth Centre of the capital of Tajikistan has launched the international festival of artistic creativity of children and teenagers from CIS countries "Visiting Dushanbe". More than 120 children are among the participants.

On September 27, 2023 a cooperation agreement between the library and the state educational institution Academy of Talents was signed as part of the annual Knowledge Forum at the Presidential Library. The document was signed by Director General of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov and Director of the Academy of Talents Ingrid Pildes.

The great Russian commander, His Sovereign Prince Mikhail Illarionovich Golenishchev-Kutuzov-Smolensky who defeated Napoleon was born in St. Petersburg on September 16, 1745. The Presidential Library’s electronic collection contain many unique materials related to the life story of the legendary Field Marshal. Most of them are presented in the public domain on the organization’s Internet portal as part of the special collection “The Patriotic War of 1812”.

Mikhail Illarionovich Golenishchev-Kutuzov, the future great commander, the victor of Napoleon and a talented diplomat, was born in Saint-Petersburg on September 16 (September 5, old style), 1745 (according to other sources, 1747). The special collection "Patriotic War of 1812" of the Presidential Library pays special attention to the field marshal. It features lots of little-known materials about his life and military victories.
