The centuries-old history of Russian shipping will be discussed at the Presidential Library

May 29, 2018 the Presidential Library as part of the cycle "Knowledge of Russia" will host a video lecture "100 years of Russian water transport through the eyes of journalists", timed to the centenary of the newspaper "Water Transport".

The event will begin at 16:00 Moscow time and will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library portal and in the official group of the Presidential Library in the social network “Vkontakte”.

The first issue of "Water Transport" was published a year after the October Revolution. Since then, the journalists of the newspaper have created a record of domestic shipping. Participants in the video lecture will learn about the brightest events, large-scale projects and famous personalities of the century-long history of Russian water transport.

The participants of the project "Fleet dynasty of modern Russia" will be also rewarded, aimed at improving the image of the naval professions, attracting young people to work in the industry, preserving family labor traditions.

Students and teachers of industrial universities, members of the Council of Veterans of the Sea and River Fleet, business representatives are invited to the video lecture. Participants from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Novorossiysk will join the event via video conferencing mode organized by the Presidential Library.

 

Accreditation for media representatives is available until 11:00, May 28, 2018.

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact numbers, name of the media.

 

Please, note, that the entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only upon prior request and upon showing a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance 1, representatives of the media go through entrance 2.
