The Presidential Library to pay tribute to Pushkin

On February 8, 2019 at 10:00 the Presidential Library will host the annual conference and webinar "Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day". Students and university professors, teachers and pupils of St. Petersburg schools, employees of the National Pushkin Museum will traditionally attend the event. Other institutions of culture and education of the regions of the Russian Federation will be also connected to event via video-conferencing mode.

The main purpose of the event is to promote the heritage of the great poet. The main topic of this year’s webinar is “Pushkin’s Works in the 21st Century”. The meeting will feature modern projects dedicated to the promotion of A. Pushkin's works: print media and multimedia resources, interactive programs, educational and socio-cultural campaigns.

The conference participants will talk about Pushkin's stay in different cities of Russia and will share local lore research, publications, educational initiatives of regional museums and libraries.

The meeting at the Presidential Library will be broadcasted on the institution's portal in the “Live Broadcasts” section, in the official group on the VKontakte social network and through video-conferencing mode.

The Presidential Library’s portal contains “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)” collection which includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, video films and other materials devoted to the poet’s life and work, as well as the activities of the state in preserving memory of him.
