The knowledge forum, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, aims to create a platform for discussing current approaches to teaching the history of the Great Patriotic War and fostering young people's interest in authentic sources from one of the most important periods in the history of Russia and the world.

The objectives of the forum are to provide information and education, exchange experience, and create conditions for forming new connections and communicating with experts in the fields of education and science.

 

Registration deadline:

– as speakers – until 14:00 on 17 September 2025;

– for attendees – until 14:00 on 29 September 2025.

Integration Forum on the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of libraries, archives and museums

The Presidential Library, with the support of the Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States, the Eurasian Library Assembly and the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States, is holding an Integration Forum on the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of libraries, archives and museums on October 7–9, 2025.

The forum will include a scientific and practical conference entitled "Evacuation during the Great Patriotic War: Preserving Memory in the Digital Space of the CIS Countries."

The following issues are expected to be discussed during the event:

  •          the evacuation of scientific and cultural institutions and cultural treasures from frontline territories during the Great Patriotic War;
  •          the evacuation of cultural figures during the Great Patriotic War;
  •          cultural life during the evacuation;
  •          the work of libraries during the evacuation;
  •          the current state of museums and memorials dedicated to the evacuation;
  •          projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage and historical memory of the evacuation in the digital environment.

The call for applications to participate in the conference as speakers is now closed.

Applications to participate in the conference as listeners are accepted until September 22, 2025.

 

Participation in the events of the Integration Forum is only possible after completing electronic registration and presenting a passport.

All-Russian Scientific Conference "1945 – The Year of the Great Victory: Marking the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II"

On 22 October 2025, the Presidential Library will host the All-Russian Scientific Conference "1945 – The Year of the Great Victory: Marking the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II."

The event will be recorded on video.

 

The following topics will be discussed during the conference:

 

  • Soviet military operations in 1945;
  • The Nuremberg Trials: the trial of Nazi criminals;
  • The diplomatic front: from Yalta to Potsdam;
  • Historical memory of the Great Victory.

 

Registration deadline:

– for speakers – by 14:00 on 19 September 2025;

– for attendees – by 14:00 on 13 October 2025.
