History of Russia: The All-Russian exhibition “Overcoming the Time of Troubles in Russia in the early XVII century” started
May 17, 2013 the Federal Archive Agency has launched a large-scale charity project - the All-Russian Exhibition “Overcoming the Time of Troubles in Russia in the early XVII century”.
The exposition dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the end of the Time of Troubles in Russia and the strengthening of the Russian state, based on the Internet-project “Overcoming the Time of Troubles (end of XVI - early XVII century) and the strengthening of the Russian statehood” which was prepared by the Federal Archive Agency, the Administration of the Kostroma Region, the Committee of Archives of the Kostroma region, the Kostroma Regional State Archive, the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts and it is available at the web site “Archives of Russia” (http://rusarchives.ru/smuta).
The exhibition “Overcoming the Time of Troubles in Russia in the early XVII century” is a unique collection of scanned color copies of archival documents, prints, paintings devoted to the complex and controversial period of Russian history. The exhibition includes eight main sections that tell of the key stages of the Time of Troubles - from events after the death of Ivan the Terrible to the accession of Mikhail Feodorovich, the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty.
The exhibition will take place almost simultaneously in major cities of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk, and then it will be available to the residents of small towns and regional centers of the country.
