The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
Presidential Library collections has been enriched with materials provided by the State Russian Museum, the Bryansk Regional Scientific Universal Library, the Local History Museum in Biryusinsk (the Irkutsk region), the Historical Museum of Taiga Urban District (the Kemerovo region), municipal administrations "Chernyakhovsky municipal district" (the Kaliningrad region) as well as private collections.
The new acquisitions include materials devoted to the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as well as the life and work of A. K. Tolstoy.
The section Commemoration of the Great Patriotic War includes a new subsection Victory Day celebration, which included material from a military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, held in Moscow on May 9 2015: Booklet of the program of military parade, Invitation and Photo album of gift sets to invited person to military parade. The gift set includes: bag made of cloth with the official logo of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945; Red Army field cap of the Great Patriotic War; St. George ribbon scarf color; prism binoculars with central focusing "Baigysh"; reprint edition 1945 of the poem of A. Tvardovsky "Vasily Terkin"; audio CD "Dmitri Khvorostovsky. The songs of the war years"; the official emblem of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945; invitation card for the military parade on May 9, 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 for E. S. Filinova.
The subsection also includes the album with 66 photos of the three-dimensional panorama "The Battle of Berlin. Feat of standard-bearers". This military-historical exhibition project is dedicated to one of the key episodes of the Great Patriotic War - the storming of the Reichstag. The exhibition space of the exhibition is divided into several areas, recreating the interior of the destroyed apartments and views of the streets of Berlin during the war fighting. Among the exhibits are the original stuff of war - uniforms, weapons, equipment, household items. The central sculpture depicts a panorama at the time of the assault group of scouts commanded by Semyon Sorokin, whose fighter - Gregory Bulatov - secured home-made Red Flag on one of the windows of the Reichstag. The project was implemented within the framework of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The photos show: view on the fairgrounds pavilion, which was exhibited panorama; poster panorama; stands with photos of the Great Patriotic War; photo reconnaissance group under the command of Semyon Sorokin and other photos.
In addition the subsection includes a photograph with image of the mass-meeting on May 9 in Biryusinsk near the obelisk to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Monument-obelisk was erected in the city of Biryusinsk on October 15, 1967 on the square on the Sovietskaya Street. On the monument is installed plaque with the names of 175 compatriots who died in the Great Patriotic War.
The section also includes photos of individual memorials and monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, located in the Kaliningrad, the Kemerovo and the Irkutsk regions.
The Military Iranian diary of Nikolai Nikolayevich Novouspensky (1909-1986) was written during 1943-1946 when a unit led by Novouspensky was brought from the center of the USSR to Iran. The diary contains the soldiers' everyday life, nature and daily life of the east of the country. In the 4th notebook there are drawings made by simple and colored pencils.

Life and work of Russian writer, poet, playwright Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy (1817-1875) is described in a series of books of Bryansk researcher, philologist and ethnographer V. D. Zakharova, which is based on a study of the documentary, memoir and epistolary sources.
The book On the trail of Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy: fiction and the truth (Bryansk, 2009) contains new archival materials, previously unpublished letters and telegrams from the writer. Many illustrations are published for the first time. Descriptions are accompanied by poems, quotations from letters of A. K. Tolstoy, memoirs of contemporaries and others.
The publication A. K. Tolstoy: chronicle of the life and work (Bryansk, 2013) is attached with a illustration of individual living spaces of A. K. Tolstoy in Russia and abroad, as well as portraits of the people close to him. In the present study is given commentary on the book of A. A. Kondratyev "The Count A. K. Tolstoy. Materials for the history of the life and work", published in St. Petersburg in 1912.
Book by Alexey Konstantinovich Tolstoy and mythmakers (Bryansk, 2013) provides an overview of some of the publications of the A. K. Tolstoy, containing inaccurate information about his biography, relatives, estates.
The publication Followed by Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy: in search of the truth (Bryansk, 2013) provides historical data, previously unpublished, and business correspondence of A. K. Tolstoy. Application contains illustrations, among them published for the first time. The first is represented by the study of history and estates Pogoreltsy and Blistov (Ukraine).
Memories of the residents and guests of the village (the estate) Red Horn of the late XIX century - early XX century of A. K. Tolstoy are published in the Red Horn and its inhabitants (Bryansk, 2012).
