Promotion in support of reading "PROchitay mir!" in Belgorod

April 17, the Belgorod Universal Scientific Library hosted the grand opening of the Book Week for the youth. This year the traditional action in support of reading is held under the motto "PROchitay mir!" and is dedicated to international cultural diversity and volunteering.

Participants of the meeting were representatives of Russia, China, Turkmenistan, Syria, Egypt, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, who acted as volunteers. Everyone told about himself and his national culture with the help of music, movements and words. Poetic miniatures in different languages ​​of the world, instrumental Latin American potpourri, serenade, Cossack dance created an inimitable atmosphere of creative and international union.

During the holiday, the participants of the event made up the top of best books on the planet. This list includes works by Pushkin, Marquez, Bulgakov, Hugo and other classics of world literature.

The event completed with book parade - foreign visitors of the city presented books to the audience dedicated to their native land.

On the website of the Presidential Library the Belgorod region is represented by the collection "Belgorod region: Pages of History". The collection contains studies, archival documents, photographs, postcards, maps and plans revealing the geographic, socioeconomic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region from the XVII-XX century. The Charter of the Belgorod region is also presented.
