
The Russian language courses at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia hosted thematic lessons in honor of the Victory Day
A series of thematic lessons dedicated to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War was held for children of different ages attending Russian language courses on the site of the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia.
After watching documentary films about the Battle of Stalingrad and the Road of Life, preschool children wrote congratulations to the veterans and put them together in the form of a triangular front letter, and also sang the song "Katyusha". Five-year-old Stanislav told about his participation in the march of the "Immortal Regiment". Stanislav carried portraits of his great-grandmother and great-grandfather.
The children of the primary classes were particularly impressed by stories about the St. George ribbon and the parade of the “Immortal Regiment”, as well as songs of the war years performed by Leonid Utyosov, Mark Bernes, Dmitri Khvorostovsky, Lev Leschenko, Joseph Kobzon.
The older children talked about portraying the heroism of the Soviet people in literature and art. Everyone watched with excitement episodes from the films "The Fate of a Man", "Officers", "Only Old Men Are Going to Battle", "We Are from the Future", read the poems of Konstantin Simonov and Robert Rozhdestvensky.
Not only learners of the courses took part in the celebration, but also their parents.
The electronic collection "Memory of the Great Victory" is presented on the Presidential Library portal. It includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, agitation and propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies from participants in combat engagements and home front workers, their personal documents, images of combat and labor awards, monuments and memorials complexes, thoughts about the war of grandsons and great-grandchildren of veterans.
