The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Belgrade develops cooperation with the regions of Russia

Within the framework of the cultural and business mission in Serbia, the delegation of the Arkhangelsk region, headed by Governor Igor Orlov, visited the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Belgrade.

A meeting with compatriots residing in Serbia was organized in the RCSC on that occasion.

The participants of the meeting were presented the economic, cultural, educational, tourist potential of the region. Igor Orlov came up with an initiative to implement a number of measures aimed at promoting the richest potential of the Russian North in cooperation with the RCSC. The accent was made, among other things, on cultural, educational and tourist exchanges. The management of RCSC expressed its readiness to actively assist in the implementation of such projects.

The admiration of all those present in the Central Hall of the exhibition center of the RCSC was caused by the performance of the artists of the State Academic Northern Russian Folk Choir who presented the beauty and breadth of the soul of the Russian North.

The day before the Russian House in Belgrade hosted a working meeting with the adviser of the head of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania, Alexander Khugati. Joint projects on the presentation of the republic's culture on the territory of Serbia were discussed.

An electronic collection "Arkhangelsk region: Pages of History" is presented on the Presidential Library portal. The collection includes studies, statistical materials, photographs and archival documents covering the period from the end of the XVI to the beginning of the XX century, giving an idea of the administrative, socio-economic, demographic and ethnographic position of the territory which is now part of the Arkhangelsk region.
