The Presidential Library is developing its network in Russia and abroad

The Presidential Library goes on developing its interregional and foreign information networks. In June 2018 33 centers of remote access to the Presidential Library resources were launched: 32 in the regions of the Russian Federation, including Moscow, Ryazan, Saratov, Murmansk and Chelyabinsk regions, and one abroad in Germany.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 18, 2007 №326-rp, Presidential Library’s branches should be established in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Today, more than 600 centers for remote access to the Presidential Library resources in all 85 regions of the country successfully operate in the Russian Federation.

Abroad, the Presidential Library is represented in 29 countries, including Germany, the USA, Italy, Spain, Austria, Great Britain and others. 38 electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library are open on the basis of Russian centers of science and culture as well as national libraries.

Visitors to the centers of remote access to the Presidential Library resources can use its richest digital fund, which today has about 630 thousand items of storage. They are electronic copies of printed and archive materials, audio and video recordings, author's thesis and other documents reflecting the century-old history of Russian statehood, theory and practice of law, and the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation. The Presidential Library's collections are focused on regional electronic collections, which cover materials of about all 85 subjects of our country and collections, where the history of relations between Russia and other countries is highlighted in detail.

Developing the interregional and foreign information network of the Presidential Library promotes active interaction of partner institutions in educational and cultural areas, exchange of experience, mutual collections acquiring. This focus area is one of the priority for the Presidential Library.

Currently, cooperation agreements have been signed with 67 constituent entities of Russia, 676 agreements with Russian organizations of various directions remain in force, and 25 memorandum agreements have been concluded in foreign countries. The nearest signing of the cooperation agreement is scheduled for July 10, 2018 - with the Leibniz Institute for Eastern and Southeast European Studies (Regensburg, Germany).
