Schoolchildren of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk were told about the interactive Olympiad of the Presidential Library

September 3 and 4, a quiz for senior pupils of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, dedicated to the Knowledge Day, was held at the Sakhalin Regional Universal Research Library.

Before the quiz the library specialists told pupils about the interactive Olympiad "Russia in the electronic world" on the history of Russia, social studies and the Russian language, which is annually held by the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library Sakhalin Region is represented by the collection "Sakhalin Region: Pages of History". The exploration of the territory of Sakhalin Region, the only Russian region completely located on the islands, is represented by travel essays, geographical and historical descriptions of the mid-XIX - early XX century, as well as fragments of newsreels of 1929.
