Specialists of the Penza Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library told students about “Russia in the Electronic World” Interactive Contest

October 25, 2018 specialists of the electronic reading room of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library kept events for pupils of 10–11th grades of school № 43 and gymnasium № 44 in Penza to promote the Interactive Olympiad “Russia in the Electronic World”, which is held annually by the Presidential Library.

The Olympiad is held on the history of Russia, social studies and the Russian language, its goal is to refer students to sources on the history of our country, the theory and practice of the Russian statehood.

The library specialists told the students about the Olympiad's regulations, the registration procedure, the materials used in preparing for the answers. In addition, the guys learned about filling the Presidential Library’s electronic collections.

In 2017 several schoolchildren from Penza Region reached the finals of the “Russia in the Electronic World” Olympiad, so the final round was held at the site of the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library, Penza Region is represented by the collection “Penza Region: Pages of History”. The collection includes archival records, essays, studies and statistical materials covering demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region of late 18th - first third of 20th century. The current Charter of Penza Region is presented.
