Meetings with students at the Novosibirsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library

The Novosibirsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Novosibirsk State Regional Research Library, is in full swing. On November 15, the center staff not only managed to serve the guests of the electronic reading room, but also held two events.

On this day, students of the Novosibirsk State Theater Institute visited the electronic reading room as part of a general tour of the regional library. They learned about the resources of the Presidential Library, the possibilities offered by its electronic collections, saw materials, including documents, books, regional periodicals, photographs, illustrative materials, video chronicles and much more.

Then, in the theater hall of the Novosibirsk State Regional Research Library, an extensive presentation of the resources of the Presidential Library was held - they were presented to the students of the Novosibirsk Trade and Economic College. During the conversation, the guests found out who exactly assigned the name of Boris N. Yeltsin to the library; how to find in the electronic library one of the surviving editions of the Tale of Bygone Years in order to see with your own eyes the Old Russian text that has survived; how to get access to the archive and closed materials of the library.

The Presidential Library portal features Novosibirsk Region: Pages of History collection. The proposed collection includes books, periodicals, archival documents and graphic materials reflecting various aspects of the history of Novosibirsk Region of the period of the XVIII - the first half of the XX century (geographical, administrative-territorial, economic, etc.), as well as the current charter of the region.
