Chelyabinsk students and schoolchildren learned about the Presidential Library’s resources

November 21, 2018, the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the regional universal research library, was visited by first-year students of the Department of Library and Information Activities of the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture and students of secondary school № 13 of the regional center.

The guests got  familiar with the electronic resources of the Presidential Library, learned about the filling of its collections and the possibilities of the electronic reading room, about the ongoing cultural and educational events and projects and received electronic library cards.

Pupils of secondary school № 13 got familiar with the Children's Website of the President of Russia, answered questions about the state structure and learned how laws are adopted in our country, what functions the President performs and how the main symbols — the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem has been formed.

On the website of the Presidential Library Region is represented by the collection “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History”. The collection includes official and archival documents, studies, essays, statistical, graphic, cartographic and other materials covering the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, socio-political, socio-cultural and other aspects of the history of Chelyabinsk region.
