Specialists of the Sakhalin Regional Center of the Presidential Library told students about the symbolism of the Russian coat of arms

25 years ago, November 30, 1993, the state emblem - one of the main symbols of our country, along with the anthem and flag, was approved. On the eve of this event on November 22, 2018, in the regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Sakhalin Regional Universal Research Library, was held a lesson "The Emblem of the Russian Federation" for pupils of the 9th grade of secondary schools № 5 and № 32. In the form of a game, children got familiar with the history of the symbolism of our state, watched a thematic video and took part in a quiz “Coat of arms is a symbol of the Russian Federation”, consolidating their knowledge. The winners of the quiz were presented with memorable prizes and gifts.

On the website of the Presidential Library, Region is represented by the Sakhalin Region: Pages of History collection. The development of the territory of Sakhalin Region, the only Russian region completely located on the islands, is represented by travel sketches, geographical and historical descriptions of the middle of the XIX - early XX century, as well as fragments of the 1929 newsreel.
