
Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day in the Presidential Library united regions of Russia
The Presidential Library hosted the annual conference and webinar "Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day". The event was attended by employees of the National Pushkin Museum, students of universities in St. Petersburg, teachers and pupils of the senior classes of city schools, as well as via video-conferencing mode - employees and guests of the libraries of Ulyanovsk, Surgut, Simferopol, Tomsk, Yuzh- Sakhalinsk and many other cities of Russia.
Irina Rosina, Head of the Media Center of the National Pushkin Museum, told about educational projects dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the poet’s birth, which will be held in different regions of our country.
At the conference at the Presidential Library there were made presentations on Pushkin's stay in Crimea, speeches on his personality, creative legacy, and many other topics.
A number of regional centers of the Presidential Library on their sites organized additional events for the participants of the conference and webinar. Thus, the guests of the Sakhalin Regional Universal Research Library at the stand of electronic copies "February 10 - the Pushkin’s Memorial Day", designed specifically for the event, were told about the publications of the updated electronic collection "Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”. In addition, after the end of the conference, the Sakhalin Library organized a reading of Pushkin's works in the format of a free microphone, which was attended by members of the theatrical studio "Various Faces" and students of the A. Pushkin South Sakhalin High School № 1.
The Franco Crimean Republican Universal Research Library held a literary quest for schoolchildren, timed to the Pushkin’s Memorial Day. At different stages of the interactive journey, the pupils solved interesting problems, studied the possibilities of the library departments, searched for “treasure”. The participants of the event demonstrated a high level of knowledge of the biography and creativity of the great Russian poet.
The employees of the regional centers of the Presidential Library in Chelyabinsk, Tomsk and Penza, as well as their colleagues from regional libraries who took part in the conference and webinar, noted the importance of such projects, as they not only introduce new formats of libraries, including the organization of intellectual education for young people, but also combine, allow you to share experiences, give new ideas.
The conference and webinar “Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day”, which is held annually in St. Petersburg in the Presidential Library, has united about 50 regions.
