On February 15, 2019, the center of remote access to the electronic resources of the Presidential Library was opened at MAOU SOSH № 40 of the city of Tyumen. As part of the event, the institution hosted a seminar entitled “Working with the electronic reading room and the Internet portal of the Presidential Library”. The lesson for pupils of the 7th grade was given by Natalya Kuznetsova, the main bibliographer of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library.

At the beginning of the seminar, students were shown a film about the activities of the Presidential Library and its key projects. Natalia Alexandrovna introduced the students to the electronic reading room and the Internet portal of the Presidential Library: their structure, functions and capabilities.

Seventh-graders immediately decided to start with practice: together with Natalia Alexandrovna and Natalia Vitalyevna Baeva, teacher-librarian of the Municipal Educational Institution of Secondary School № 40, they found books with Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky’s biography in the collection of the Presidential Library to prepare a paper on geometry.

In the section “Creative Contests” on the Presidential Library's portal, Natalia Alexandrovna particularly noted the interactive Olympiad for schoolchildren “Russia in the Electronic World”, in which tenth graders of MAOU Secondary School № 40 Daria Odintseva reached the finals of the contest in the Russian language discipline. On her example, the guys can already begin to prepare in advance for the tasks in the section “Archive” on the Olympiad website.
