13 March 2019

The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library presents an exhibition “Sevastopol: History, Legends, Stories”, which is dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the reunion of Crimea, Sevastopol and the Russian Federation. On display are publications from the collections of the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library grouped into four main sections: Sevastopol and its Admirals, Architectural Heritage, Defence of the City during the Crimean War and The Great Patriotic War.

The exposition highlights courage and heroism, military glory and the great history of the city, which are closely related to its unique culture, and, of course, fates of people who brought glory to Sevastopol. Visitors may also explore “Sevastopol – The City of Russian Naval Glory” collection of the Presidential Library and multimedia materials from the institution’s electronic collections.

Sverdlovsk Region is in the spotlight of an individual collection, which is available on the portal of the Presidential Library. It includes electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the 19th – early 20th c. The materials shed light on the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.

The Presidential Library has been in partnership with Sverdlovsk Region since 2013.
