Meeting on the tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan held in Helsinki

A meeting at the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Finland on the tourism potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was organized on September 3. It was attended by S. Sinelnikov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Finland, A. Rakhimullina, representative of the Trade and Economic Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan, S. Ivanov, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of Finnish tour operators and other officials. The special guest of the event was the popular Finnish actor and producer Ville Haapasalo, who presented his new documentary film about Tatarstan, which spotlighted the originality of this unique region of the Russian Federation. The film will be shown in Finland this September.

A center of remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library is opened at the RCSC in Helsinki since 2011. Participants of the event, like other visitors interested in the history of Tatarstan, have the opportunity to learn about the materials of the collection “Republic of Tatarstan: Pages of History”, including archival documents, studies, essays, visual and cartographic materials, audio and video recordings which spotlight the geographical position, administrative, social-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the Republic of Tatarstan in the XVI - early XXI centuries. The electronic library of the Presidential Library has formed collections dedicated to all 85 regions of the Russian Federation.
