Penza has prepared an exhibition dedicated to the 370th anniversary of the Council Code

September 18, 2019 in the regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Regional Library was opened the exhibition "The Crown of Legal Activity of the 17th Century - Cathedral Code of 1649".

The exhibition features rare books from the library’s collections: monographs, scientific research and educational literature on the unique legal source of the mid-17th century.

Everyone were able to obtain additional information on the Presidential Library’s portal through the collection “Council Code of 1649”, which includes publications of the code of the 17th – 20th centuries, regional extracts from documents and research on the history and law of the 17th century.

Penza Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes archival files, essays, studies and statistical materials which spotlight various aspects of the history of the region from the end of the 18th to the first third of the 20th century: demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and others, as well as the current Charter of Penza Region.
