The Presidential Library’s activities received praise in Ryazan

The annual visiting meeting of the heads of regional centers of access to the resources of the Presidential Library was launched at the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Research Library on Tuesday in the framework of the X Integration Forum of the Presidential Library, which is held from October 1 to 3, 2019 in Ryazan and St. Petersburg.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ryazan Region Vitaly Popov emphasized that this year the integration forum brought together two major events: a visiting conference of the heads of regional centers of access to the resources of the Presidential Library and a scientific and practical conference “Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space”. “It is a special time now Sergei Yesenin’s birthday is coming. This is a symbol of our land”, - he added. Next year we will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the poet, in connection with which we again invite everyone to Ryazan land”.

“The forum is called Integration, and it really integrates, unites different types of cultural institutions: museums, libraries, archives”, - said Olga Voronova, member of the Public Chamber of Russia, Doctor of Philology, professor at the Yesenin Ryazan State University.

Natalya Grishina, chairman of the Ryazan Region Public Chamber and director of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Research Library greeted the guests and said that she met with colleagues from St. Petersburg more than once marking the 10th anniversary of the Presidential Library. According to her, such a major and representative forum is being held in Ryazan Region for the first time.

At the meeting it was noted that the annual Integration Forum would be held in the regions of Russia on an ongoing basis. The development of the regional network of the Presidential Library will henceforth be aimed not only at storing useful and important information, but also at properly organized access to it. In this regard, the existing network of regional access centers will undergo a necessary change: many centers are preparing for transformation into branches. Among other innovations in the foreseeable future will take the place of the organization of the production center of the Presidential Library, which will be engaged in the creation of video and film production of the full cycle: from script to screening.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the Moscow Reserve Center and the Tyumen branch.

It is also worth noting that the Presidential Library’s portal provides Ryazan Region: Pages of History electronic collection. It features legislation, symbols of state power, administrative management, science, education, culture, visits of top officials of the Russian state to the region and etc.
