
Specialists of the Tomsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library told school students about "Russia in the Electronic World" Olympiad
In 2019 the Presidential Library for the tenth time holds an interactive Olympiad on Russian Language, History and Social Studies “Russia in the Electronic World” for pupils of educational institutions. The Olympiad is intended for pupils of 10-11 grades and secondary vocational schools. The event consists of three stages, two of which each can be done remotely online.
October 7, 2019, specialists of the Tomsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library of the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Research Library informed about the Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" 10-11 graders of the city of Asino, Tomsk Region. The meeting took place at the Library and Aesthetic Center; it was decided to hold it there because last year a remote center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library was opened in the center.
Specialists of the Tomsk Regional Center told schoolchildren about the opportunities, resources, information and educational projects of the Presidential Library. Pupils learned in what main areas the library’s collections are formed. Then, the specialists of the Tomsk Regional Universal Research Library focused on the dates of the Olympiad, benefits, reference material, archival documents, showed a presentation clip and answered all the questions of those present. The meeting was attended by more than 60 pupils, many of whom expressed a desire to take part in this competition and appreciated the possibility of additional preparation for the exam, as well as receiving extra points when entering higher educational institutions of Russia with successful participation in the Olympiad.
