Specialists on Russian philology improve their skills at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bishkek

October 24, 2019 the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bishkek hosted a regular meeting of the School of a Young Philologist, supported by the City Department of Education of the Bishkek City Hall.

Irina Tsareva, curator of projects in the Russian language, education and science of the RCSC in Bishkek, welcomed the Russian language teachers of the capital’s schools and outlined the great importance of the Russian language as a means of international communication, uniting people of different countries and nationalities today.

At the end of the program, young teachers visited the RCSC library, where the thematic book exhibition “Encyclopedic and Reference Literature for Russian Teachers” was presented to their attention.

Experts noted the importance of studying literary works when studied the language. Thus, the publication: “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”, “Mikhail Lermontov (1814–1841)”, “Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821–1881)”, “Leo Tolstoy (1828–1910)”, “Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893–1930)” and others are presented in the electronic collections of the Presidential Library.

Some of the materials of the electronic collections are available on the Internet portal of the Presidential Library. The information resources of the largest digital repository are available in the remote access centers running in different countries of the world, one of which has been opened in Bishkek since 2011.

A new discipline “Russian as a foreign language” starts this academic year, and students studying Russian can participate in the Olympiad of the Presidential Library Russia in the Electronic World. More information about the project is provided on the website of the Presidential Library.
