24 December 2019

On December 19, 2019 specialists of the Penza Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library held an interactive game "Backstage Surprises" for schoolchildren of school № 56.

Third-graders tried on several theatrical professions. At first, the pupils demonstrated their acting abilities: with different emotions and intonations, they read aloud an excerpt from K. Chukovsky’s poem “Boldly Buzzing Fly”. Then they enthusiastically danced choreographic sketches to the music of famous cartoons and sang their favorite children's songs, showing their vocal abilities.

During the second part of the event, the center’s specialists told schoolchildren about the collections of the Presidential Library, which contain a lot of materials on the history of the theater. For example, the book “Theater of pre-Petrine Rus’: a public lecture by A. S. Arkhangelsky” describes ancient folk amusements, which were called “bear fun”.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Penza Region: Pages of History collection. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials which spotlight the demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Penza Region of the late XVIII - first third of the XX century. The current Charter of the region is also presented.
