A new cycle of classes on 3D modeling and visualization held in the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library
The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, as part of the Belinka in 3D project, launched a new cycle of classes on 3D modeling and visualization in the software environment of the popular Blender editor.
At the first meeting, each of the participants was able to create their own three-dimensional drawing - a virtual copy of the book “Victory was forged in the rear” from the collections of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library.
The lesson was held by Oleg Osipov, a specialist at the Regional Center, drawing on the experience of the Presidential Library, where the direction of 3D modeling and visualization in the context of library work is traditionally included in the exposition and exhibition activities module.
In the future, the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library will create its own virtual exhibitions using 3D visualization technologies.
The Presidential Library’s portal features Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History collection, which includes electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The materials spotlight the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
