Online concert dedicated to the Great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky held in Turkey

A live concert dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the Great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was held in Ankara. The organizers were the Music Fund named after People's Artist of the Republic of Turkey Suna Korat and the Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in the Republic of Turkey.

The online event was attended by the head of the Music Fund, professor Hadzhibaba Adiloglu, deputy head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative Roman Penkin, as well as young students of the fund. In honor of the anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the musicians performed live classical works of Russian composers.

Roman Penkin also spoke about the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ankara and the main areas of Rossotrudnichestvo activity. Since 2014, a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library has been opened at the RCSC in Ankara.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the materials of the electronic collection “Pyotr Tchaikovsky (1840–1893)”, which includes digital copies of the composer's autographs, notes and photographs, correspondence, books and articles about his life and career.
