
Yekaterinburg provides a series of remote lectures on the Presidential Library’s resources
Online lecture dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow was held in the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library. The lecture was held on the YouTube channel of the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library.
Specialists of the regional center of the Presidential Library spoke about the exhibition project "They Fought for the Homeland". It is dedicated to heroes who, by all means, brought Victory closer. The project website contains books on the war, postcards, letters from the front, audio-visual materials from the collections of the Belinsky Library and the Presidential Library. The audience also learned about thematic collections of the Presidential Library, which included official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, editions of a propaganda nature, collections of articles, biographies and many other materials.
As part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory, the Presidential Library prepared a unique multimedia exhibition "The Great Patriotic War, which determined the outcome of the Second World War". It covers the period from September 1931 to the Act of Japan's surrender on September 2, 1945. More than 500 official documents, photographs, maps, periodicals and leaflets spotlight the real course of military-political and diplomatic events of those years, provide an opportunity to create your own idea of the causes, beginning and course of the Great Patriotic War in the context of the events of the Second World War.
