Veterans of Brest awarded a jubilee medal marking the 75th anniversary of Victory

Jubilee medals "75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" and memorable gifts to Brest front-line soldiers and home front workers, residents of besieged Leningrad and young prisoners of concentration camps were presented by employees of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest.

The award was established in 2019 by the Decree of President of Russia Vladimir Putin to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as a sign of deep respect for the great feat, heroism and dedication of people who survived those terrible years.

The major electronic collection of the Presidential Library "Memory of the Great Victory" contains a large number of materials devoted to the Great Patriotic War: these are official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, propaganda publications, collections of articles, testimonies of combatants and workers rear and much more.

Only a part of the unique digitized materials is posted on the Presidential Library’s portal. One can learn about the collections of the national electronic repository in the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in different countries.
