Travelling around Crimea with the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library
The Vissarion Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, which houses the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, released on YouTube channel a video review "Velvet Season", introducing the book exhibition "Crimea through the Eyes of a Librarian".
The velvet season is reasonably considered the best time for vacation, and what is better Black Sea coast in autumn? The video review is performed by Elena Golub, the exhibition curator, leading librarian of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library. She will provide the selection of the guides to the Crimean peninsula (modern and old editions), colourful photo albums and literary and art almanacs.
The exposition's multimedia block includes a virtual exhibition that features traditional book reviews, bibliographic lists, photo and video materials, as well as personal stories of cultural workers from all over the country. The diverse materials allow exploring different features of the peninsula.
Materials of the Presidential Library's collections "Sevastopol – the City of Russian Naval Glory" and "The Crimea in Postcards" were involved in preparing the exhibition and review.
The institution's portal also submits the collection "The Republic of Crimea: pages of history", which includes studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and other materials that introduce the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the peninsula since the earliest times to the beginning of the XX century.
