Films about juvenile prisoners of Nazi concentration camps screened at the Presidential Library's cinema club meeting

The films of the project of the Media Center of the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education "Diary of Memory", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, were shown at the Presidential Library’s regular cinema club meeting on April 21, 2021.

The project was carried out to help pedagogical workers developing patriotic feelings among the younger generation, form a respectful attitude towards the history of the Fatherland and strengthening relationship between generations.

The project "Diary of Memory" was based on the memories of fellow countrymen who survived the war and thematically consists of several parts: children of the siege of Leningrad, children of the Stalingrad war, cabin boys of the Baltic, etc.

Two films based on the "Diary of Memory" project and dedicated to juvenile prisoners of Nazi concentration camps were shown at the cinema club meeting.

The guests of honor of the event were the heroes of the films who were in captivity at a young age: the chairman of a public organization of former juvenile prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, ghettos and other places of detention Olga Prokhorova, Larisa Platonova, Galina Rubaeva, head of the St. Petersburg literary association Nevskiye Berega Vladimir Dudrov.

The films were broadcasted live on the Presidential Library's portal in the Live broadcasts section, in the Presidential Library's cinema club group on the VKontakte social network and on the institution's YouTube channel.
