New opportunities in education to be discussed in St. Petersburg

May 31, 2021 the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and the Presidential Library marking the 5th Anniversary National Scientific and Methodological Conference "Architecture of University Education - 2022" will hold a strategic session "Professional Unity in Educational Activity: New Opportunities". The event will take place in St. Petersburg online from 10:00 to 13:30.

The business program of the conference, in addition to the initial session "New models of partnerships for solving strategic problems in new conditions", includes three parallel thematic courses in the discussion format:

“Entrepreneur of the New Time: Are They Born or Become?”;

“Digital “dexterity” is a must have for a future professional”;

“Continuing education: demand VS supply”.

Developers of standards for project-oriented education, representatives of leading universities in Russia, national and foreign specialized enterprises, as well as the academic and business communities are invited as experts to discuss the development of new forms of cooperation between universities, the business community and the state in order to ensure the development of students' talents.

Each of the speakers' speeches will be organized in face-to-face format with a live online broadcast.

Cooperation between the Presidential Library and St. Petersburg State University of Economics has been developing for several years. In January 2020, a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library was opened at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics. Students, teachers and university staff got free access to the unique collections of the country's largest national electronic repository, which opens up new opportunities for improving the quality of education. Various information resources of the library are provided during the learning process or for the purpose of preparing research papers. They are rare editions, archival documents, audio and video recordings, abstracts and dissertations, as well as many other materials on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood and the Russian language.

Today, the Presidential Library has signed a cooperation agreement with more than 170 higher educational institutions. Remote electronic reading rooms are open in federal universities, educational institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the largest universities in our country, such as St. Petersburg State University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation and many others.
