The autumn session of the series of methodological meetings "Breakfasts with the Presidential Library" completed

The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted an autumn session of the methodological project "Breakfasts with the Presidential Library". It was subtitled "Discovery: A Word to St. Petersburg" and included three meetings with Presidential Library’s specialists.

The session was devoted to basic issues of the regional network and the main projects and directions of the Presidential Library. Online meetings and practice-oriented webinars are traditionally addressed to representatives of the regional network of the Presidential Library, curators of remote electronic reading rooms, specialists in the field of culture and education interested in promoting the information resources of the Presidential Library.

During the autumn session, Alla Ryabova, acting head of the Scientific and Educational Department of the Presidential Library, presented educational projects using the resources of the institution. A separate meeting was devoted to the Olympiad for schoolchildren Russia in the Electronic World as a mechanism for supporting gifted applicants.

Lyudmila Savelyeva, Head of the User Service Department of the Presidential Library, held a meeting dedicated to the basics of working in a remote electronic reading room. The conversation was based on requests from the curators of remote electronic reading rooms.

The project "Breakfasts with the Presidential Library" has been implemented since 2020. The completed session has become the fourth in a row.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History, which contains statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries and spotlights the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
