The Presidential Library hosted a video lecture dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Academician Dmitry Likhachev

November 30, 2021 the Presidential Library as part of the Knowledge of Russia project hosted a video lecture entitled "Man and Scientist" dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet and Russian philologist, culturologist, art critic, Doctor of Philology, Academician Dmitry Sergeevich Likhachev.

The video lecture presented a fragment of the film about Dmitry Sergeevich, where Candidate of Philology, Senior Researcher of the Department of Old Russian Literature of the IRLI RAS, who since November 1992 has been the academician's assistant and participated in the preparation for the publication of his works, Irina Lobakova told about Likhachev's contribution to Russian philology, as well as about his relationship with relatives and colleagues.

Anton Druzhevsky, the methodologist of the scientific and educational department of the Presidential Library highlighted the historical research of Dmitry Sergeevich, his contribution to the study of the texts of Ancient Russia.

Dmitry Likhachev is one of the most famous students of the Karl May school; in collaboration with the director of the school's museum, Nikita Blagovo, he wrote the first book about its history. The participants of the video lecture were able not only to listen to the performance of the laureate of the Academician D. Likhachev Prize Nikita Blagovo "Keeper of the Karl May School", but also see a unique video material from the museum's archives.

Tatyana Kochetkova, teacher of continuing education of the highest qualification category, head of the Patriot club of the 323rd school of the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg, told about the history of the creation of the Constellation of Talents contest, the highest award of which is the Star of Academician Dmitry Sergeevich Likhachev medal.
