Test on the history of the Great Patriotic War at the Magadan Regional Center of the Presidential Library

December 3, 2021 marking the Unknown Soldier’s Day, the regional center of the Presidential Library at the Pushkin Magadan Regional Universal Scientific Library within the framework of the "Big History" project hosted a platform organized for participation in the international educational campaign "Test on the history of the Great Patriotic War".

The project of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma "Big History" was initiated in order to preserve historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

This test is aimed at assessing the level of historical literacy of citizens of the Russian Federation, compatriots living abroad and foreign citizens. The test participants had to answer 30 questions about the Great Patriotic War within 30 minutes, after which the result of the points received for the correct answers and a certificate was issued.

Participants were tested at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, as well as online. 25 users of the library answered the questions remotely. 

A wide range of materials about the heroes and military actions during the Second World War is presented on the Presidential Library's portal in the Collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials World War II in Archival Documents.

September 3, 2021 more than 3.5 thousand digitized archival documents, film and photo materials starting September 1, 1939 - June 22, 1941 provided from 8 federal archives (Russian State Military Archives, Russian State Archives of Social and Political History, Russian State Archives of Contemporary History, State Archives of the Russian Federation, Russian State Archives of Economy, Russian State Archives of Film and Photo Documents, Russian State Naval Archives, Russian State Archives in Samara), institutional archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Federal Security Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, as well as state archives of Belarus) entered the Collection.

In accordance with the List of Instructions for the implementation of the Address of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on January 15, 2020, the preparation of the Collection is organized by the Federal Archival Agency with the participation of archival services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Federation.
